BARNESVILLE, Ga. -- Faith Hager (Conyers, Ga. / Heritage HS) has named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA Region 17) Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played February 24-March 1.
It is the second consecutive week for Hager to win the honor and the third time in the first four weeks of the season.
It is also the fourth straight week a Gordon State pitcher has earned the honor after Bailey Odom (Danville, Ga. / Bleckley Co. HS) was honored on February 17.
For the week, Hager went 2-0, pitched eight total innings, allowed three runs (two earned), struck out 12, walked four and posted a 1.75 earned-run average.
Hager pitched a five-inning shutout victory against Kalamazoo Valley Community College (Mich.) in Gordon State's 8-0 win and allowed just one hit while striking out eight and walking three.
