Bio
Maliek Daniels enters his second season at Gordon State College, bringing five years of coaching experience across the high school, middle school, and junior college levels. In his first year with the Highlanders, Daniels made an immediate impact, playing a key role in helping reshape the program’s culture and setting a new standard for development and competitiveness.
Daniels most recently served as an assistant at Southern Crescent Technical College, where he helped guide players who earned opportunities at NCAA Division II and NAIA programs. Prior to his junior college experience, he coached at the high school level with stops at Luella High School and Lithia Springs High School, where both programs advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. He also served as head coach and athletic director at Cowan Road Middle School, leading the team to a championship game appearance.
Before beginning his coaching career, Daniels played two years at the junior college level—one at South Georgia Technical College and one at Enterprise State Community College—before completing his collegiate career at Trevecca Nazarene University (NCAA Division II). He went on to play professionally for two seasons in Central America, gaining valuable international experience.
