Green Earns Second GCAA Pitcher of the Week Honor

DEMOREST, GA – For the second time this season, Gordon State's Maddie Green has been selected as the GCAA Pitcher of the Week.

Green's latest honor comes after a 2-0 week on the mound with wins over East Georgia and West Georgia Tech.  In 14 innings pitched, she allowed just 3 hits, struck out 17, walked 4 and a posted a perfect 0.00 ERA.  Currently, Green ranks at the top of the GCAA with 60 strike outs on the season. 

The Highlanders (9-12, 3-3 GCAA) are coming off of a GCAA sweep of West Georgia Tech and will play again Wednesday at home against Southern Union.  Gordon won the first contest between the two teams in February by a score of 4-1.
