Barnes Named GCAA Player of the Week

DEMOREST, GA -- The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association has announced that sophomore McKenzie Barnes has been named GCAA Player of the Week for games played between April 16th-April 22nd.  This is Barnes' second GCAA Player of the Week honor this season.  Barnes led the conference with a .636 batting average as the Highlanders won four games over Andrew College and ABAC.  She recorded seven hits, including two doubles, stole one base, scored three runs and batted in three Highlanders.  Barnes also appeared on the mound in all four contests logging seven innings pitched, eight hits, two strike outs and posting a 0.00 ERA for the week.  Congratulations, McKenzie.
